This photo was taken on the corner of Ninth and Green Street in Durham, which I walk/drive on a daily basis. Over the past couple of years, I've had the pleasure of watching this new construction take shape and this stage of the process caught my attention more so than any other. At first, I was slightly put off by its large scale, as it towered above other buildings, presenting a sort of dominance in comparison to establishments that found their home in Old West Durham, years ago. However, seeing the outline of this structure, above all, made me curious about how (the ever expanding) Durham will continue to fill spaces between. This incomplete structure, with all of its lines and unfilled spaces, reminded me of the strong sense of connection this city exudes, even while undergoing so many changes.
